The Protracker Roadway Worker Protection System includes the Train Mounted Unit, Flagger, Personal Alert Device (PAD), and Portable Warning Horn & Light (PWLH). The system is designed to be mounted in the cab of a train or tied into the train’s monitor. The Protracker will automtically signal the track workers that a train is approaching. Once a train is in range, the PADs and PWLHs will signal that a train is approaching. This system enhances the secondary safety for work crews and train operators.

Train Mounted Protracker

The Protracker is designed to be mounted in the cab of a train to audibly and to visually alert the operator and personnel near the train tracks who are wearing the Personal Alert Device (PAD). This device enhances existing safety layering and agencies existing procedures.

Portable Warning Horn and Light

The Portable Warning Horn and Light is used to alert track work crews of an approaching train. It can alert work crews on existing or adjacent tracks.

Flagger Device

Personal Alert Device (PAD)

When a train is detected, a secured alarm is sent to any worker wearing a Personal Alert Device (PAD) that a train is approaching, giving the work crew time to clear the tracks.

The Flagger Device allows the flagger or advance watchman to alert a worksite of approaching train or danger.
